DVD Release of VAMPS LIVE 2008
I know, I know, everyone's f-list is probably flooded with this news, but I really need to do my own excited scream. OMG!!! VAMPS WILL RELEASE A DVD FOR THIS TOUR!!!!

Glamorous Sky! OMG! We finally gonna hear his HYDE-ness's full version. A little sad that we won't be getting Satsugai, maybe it will be in the second DVD?

And I don't care the Aussis $ is as low as US$0.60 now. I think I've just found my motivation to stay in my f*cking job for a few months or until I get a new offer elsewhere.

Photobucket

HYDE-sama, can you get any more beautiful? *dreamy sighs*

The release date has been confirmed by CDJapan 2009/01/07. Can't believe the preorder has already been set up here.

It was said that yuki was being spotted in 2 of the Tokyo lives. And HYDE has designed new chocolate good for VAMPS Halloween lives and it is obviously dedicated to yuki and his chocolate addiction.

Photobucket

And not only Gackt was there, ken-chan also made an appearance in the Tokyo lives. ken-chan, who was the woman that accompanied you to the live? Don't tell us she was your manager... because we are pretty sure she wasn't. Even leader-sama was there. Apparently no one saw him, but his car was spotted. Got to be moved by members' love for each other *wipes away happy tears*

I hope there will also be a release for the upcoming Halloween live and Jack in the Box and I don't care the AU$ is worth virtually nothing at the moment! T^T

I love how record labels seem to think that $60+ for a DVD is okay now. The sad thing is, that's a reasonable price compared to what SOME labels are charging *staaaaaaares*

Well, I think VAMPS ticket and DVD have always been cheaper comparing to Laruku, thanks to HYDE and his obsession with the number 666. The ToK DVD is about 7600yen. But I know you are actually talking about another band... it's the exchange rate that makes me shiver. I think by the time the DVD is release, I will have to pay twice the amount that I paid for the ToK DVD. And I know the L'7 Paris Documentary (or is it thee actual live?) and the VAMPS new album will both be released around the same time... I no longer know the tears in my eyes are caused by happiness or sadness.

Sixty dollars? Day-um. I'm gonna be broke D: Maybe they'll...lower the price?

Aw, they love each other! Brotherly love! It's so sweet ♥ Sweet like the chocolate he dedicated to Yukki.

And this is why I always buy the HK releases for $25. *clings to money*

That chocolate is awesome, though. Did he draw it himself?

His eyebrows look FIERCE in that pic, as per usual. >:3

From what I can understand on his goods site, he drew it himself. But as you know my understanding in Japanese is pretty much limited to whatever that is written in kanji ^^b

Let's not forget the fact that VAMPS will be release a new album around the same time. And also Laruku's L7 documentary DVD thingy. Ah... let's say goodbye to our money.

Ouch!! I just felt a few extra jabs in my heart but at the same time, I'm soooo anticipating this!! Laruku and Hyde make me felt like a masochist in terms of money. XD

I finally understand the true meaning of solos... it's Laruku's strategy to completely empty our bank accounts. I mean when they are in a band, we support Laruku only. During solo period, we not only have to support Laruku, but also HYDE, Ken, Tetsu and Acid Android... T^T

I know.. :( For me, a DVD would drain out 3/4 of a month's allowance so I'll have to be stingy. Winning some and losing some. At least we can expect Ken, Tetsu and AA stuffs to be not 6660 yen... Ehem!

Well, Laruku's things always seems to be more expensive when comparing to solo ones.

You never know! We all think the price of the Paris photo book was a shocker. But I was told on a cost per page basis, yuki's last fan club only photo book was much more expensive...

Oooolala~~ Was it because he's baring moar of his sexiness in it? :P
less clothes=more expensive? XP
I can go without photobooks but never the DVDs. I feel more emotionally attached to seeing them owning the stage with their dorkiness (and hentainess), y'know. But that's just me.

Yeah... well, he certainly has a body to demand prices.

I totally agree. I got the ToK DVD and resisted the Paris Photo book. I haven't regret my decision yet. But it could be because I haven't had a chance to see the real thing and therefore not knowing what I missed.

it's beginning to look like this year is ging to be just as tough on the piggybank as the last 2 were. only now it's not just laruku, but VAMPS too. plus Ken is planning an album, Yuki will probably come up with something. but who's to say what the leader-sama will do.
and, as we all know the economy sucks...sigh...must persevere.

the candy-treat is so cuuuute! oddly enough, it's sorta how i picture Yuki looking on a candy binge. ^ ^

how can that man keep getting better and better with each passing day? the eyebrows are pretty fierce these days. that beats the scary shaved brow any time. and let me just say, although the monochrome works well, i love to see HYDE in red. ^_^

At this rate, I will never save enough money to make it to their 20th Anniversary live. *shakes fits at the boys*

I agree, he looks lovely in colour, but you have to admit black and white work well with HYDE most of the time especially when he suffers from fashion failures, lack of colour make them less obvious.

Exactly >_< I wanted to ask you something: how does one purchase a L'Arc/Hyde/Vamps o whatever? Amazon? How does it work? I've never in my life done internet shopping and haven't got a clue. Considering the fact that I live in Argentina (where neither Laruku nor Hyde's works are edited), I think it would be that way... I know it's very expensive (much more these days, and in my country you never know) but... hell, I'm not doing anything else. I mean, my only vice are cigarettes and listening to this little man at least once a day.

I understand how hard and frustrating it can be for us foreign fans. I normally buy their CD, DVD from YesAsia.com or www.cdjapan.co.jp. Both sites have English versions for easy nevigation, and they ship overseas. You need to compare deals. YesAsia charges in US$, and CDJapan in Japanese yen, so you need to take the exchange rate into consideration when making a choice. YesAsia often gives free shipping for more expensive items such as DVD or album. But again, it could just be a number game, with cost of shipping included in the item anyway. I've been persuaded to shop with CDJapan, because I was told whatever I buy gets counted towards the artist's Oricon sales ranking, since it's a Japanese company. YesAsia's doesn't because it is based in Hong Kong. But I can't guarantee it is right. Since CDJapan calculates shipping charges separately, you may also want to think about what shipping method to use, as their costs vary greatly. I've used the normal airmail before, and got the DVD on the official Japanese release day. More expensive method like EMS may be faster, but not sure whether it would worth the extra $$$. Then again, I guess the country of destination also can make a difference.

The best thing about the boys is they are popular enough to have oversea version releases. If the exchange rate gets too bad, buying the cheaper HK or Taiwan releases is alway an option. I brought the Theater of Kiss DVD first press for about US$90, and the HK version was about US$20. Of course, the packagings were different.

I hope this helps.

BTW, I just checked CDJapan. They set up a preorder for the upcoming VAMPS DVD last night, and today it's already 1st on the preorder ranking list. The fans are certainly throwing money at his HYDE-ness.

NOO! please to not be reminding me of the exchange rate. I want to forget... I think we will end up paying $100+ for it =( But it will be worth it!

Dear twin icon, despite the terrible exchange rate online shopping sites still give good deals. I went to Chinatown the other day, and found a shop selling the first press of the AYR DVD. Guess how much they charged it for. $150... OMG, they must have been out of their mind. I know this is not much comfort... but better than nothing...

Damn AU $!
